Notable Experience

 

  • Provided legal advice to Munich Re, one of the world’s leading reinsurance groups, on the restructuring of its Ukrainian portfolio.

  • Acted as Ukrainian local counsel to the Royal Bank of Scotland in the restructuring of ABN AMRO Bank N.V.’s loan portfolio, including consortium loans to Interpipe and Donetsksteel.

  • Advised a German machinery manufacturer on obtaining an intragroup loan from its non-resident parent company and registering the loan with the National Bank of Ukraine.

  • Advised Lloyds TSB on regulatory and contractual matters related to the bank’s name change in Ukraine.

  • Provided legal support to a consortium of Austrian banks in the restructuring and pledge of shares and other assets of a Ukrainian subsidiary of an Austrian group to secure claims totaling EUR 100 million.

  • Advised a major German bank on the lawful disclosure and transfer of bank secrecy information regarding clients of a Ukrainian bank.

  • Advised a leading German waste processing and recycling company on financing the acquisition of a Ukrainian target.

  • Provided legal advice to an internationally operating German equipment vendor on a complex structured finance scheme for the delivery of specialised equipment to a Ukrainian enterprise.
