On March 16, 2016, the long-expected amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Protection of Economic Competition” (New Law) were finally signed by the president. The New Law aims to decrease extra regulatory burden on businesses and establish an efficient merger control mechanism for the benefit of the business and consumers. The New Law will take effect on May 18, 2016.
